Here are my weekly Music reflection of the week. This is the reflection of week 1.

 

 A. Music Theory

Dates: April 10^th 2012 and April 11^th 2012

Topic: Major, Minor, and Dominant 7^th Chord Revision

Reflection Question: What is the role of music in your life?

Reflection:

Music has been an important art in human life. Started from many years before Christ, music was used for many purposes. One use of music was to accompany big leaders by orchestras. And after Christ, especially starting from 16^th century, music had been created into many genres with different uses. And in 21^st century where I live at this time now, music fills 50% of my heart. For short, I love music as it has no negative side at all and can be used to help human. I heard that in this century, music can be used for medical purposes. This shows that music is not only by me, but all people around the world will say that music is everything.

B. Music

Topic: Choosing one Jazz song from the selection compiled by Mr. Herry Rajasa

Reflection:

In this instrument session, I have heard Mr. Hary Wisnu, my woodwind teacher, played the selection of Jazz songs from wikifonia.org compiled by Mr. Herry Rajasa, my music theory teacher, which was requested by me and my mates. After I heard every songs requested now I can choose which song that I will perform. The song can be “All of Me” by Gerald Marks and Seymour Simons, “Smile” by Charlie Chaplin, Geoffrey Parsons, and John Turner, or I can be playing “One Note Samba” by Antonio Carlos Jobim. The last decision on which song I will play, I will choose it after play them one by one.
