Week 7 and Week 8 Reflections

Here is my last two weeks reflections.

Week 7: May 21^st 2012 to May 25^th 2012

A.    Music Theory

Dates: May 22nd 2012 and May 23rd 2012

Topic: Rehearsal for ensemble performance on a Jazz song

Reflection Question: What do you think about your Jingle music creation?

Reflection:

After I had created the Jingle music together with my partner, I was heavily satisfied because I think that our hard work on creating the Jingle has resulted a great Jingle music. We had not only to create chords of the Jingle and created the Jingle together, but we also had to revise the Jingle again in order to create a good Jingle music. I hope that everyone also enjoys our Jingle music.

B.     Music

Topic: Rehearsal for Ensemble Performance on Jazz Song

Reflection:

This week, I used my instrument class time to rehearse for my ensemble performance on Jazz song with my group mates. So far, my group performance has been improved become more better as we had practiced seriously and collaborated well. For the next rehearsal, I will practice more seriously with my group mates so that my group will be ready at the due date of performance.

Week 8: May 28^th 2012 to June 1^st 2012

Topic: Ensemble Performance on Jazz Song Assessment

Reflection Question: How did my Jazz ensemble performance go?

Reflection:

My Jazz ensemble performance went well as we had practiced seriously for several times and we did with strong collaborations. Although I made little mistakes when I was performing, I tried to recover it by playing better at the next melodies. I also followed my ensemble’s tempo to perform well. Last but not least, I also concentrated on the performance personally because this was my last assessment and by concentrating, I could perform better.

Topic: Last Rehearsal for Ensemble Performance on Jazz Song

Reflection:

This week is my last meetings on Music subject and is the due date of the last performance assessment. In the instrument class, I practiced together with my ensemble teammates for the performance. As we had practiced several times seriously, I know that our ensemble is ready to perform with a maximum quality. I have proven my thought by performing well.
